Chicken is one of the meats that you can make any kind of dish and goes well with everything. It is a great source of protein. The great thing about this chicken is that you can serve it with just about anything. I know of a recipe that make those boring old chicken recipes look shameful. I decided to spice up this one and a little bit of white whine to it. This recipe is a healthy goodness all over.
The recipe that I am about tell about is one that make you feel like you have party going on in your mouth. It is juicy and tender.It smells great coming out of the oven. The name recipe is called Rosemary Chicken to Brighten up your Day. Let's get started on the ingredients and directions.
Ingredients
4 bone-in chicken breast halves
4 sprigs fresh rosemary
1 lemon, cut into quarters
1 cup chicken broth
1 T of coconut oil
2 tsp granulated onion
1 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1 cup of white wine
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 F degrees.
Sprinkle spices on both sides of chicken.
Heat oil in a large cast iron skillet over
medium high heat.
Add chicken to the skillet and brown on
both sides.
Remove from heat.
Squeeze lemon slices over chicken and place
lemon rinds around the chicken.
Put the sprigs of rosemary around the
chicken in the case iron skillet.
Pour broth over chicken and wine over the
chicken,
Put entire cast iron skillet into hot oven,
uncovered.
Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until no
longer pink and juices run clear.
It looks great coming out of the oven and smells great,too. This is one of those recipes that you will want to share with others. It is a winner all the way around. It does get the party started.Here is the download link to this healthy bit of goodness.
